This apparatus is designed to affix to a six DOF sensor mounted to an carriage on the ITT (Intelligent Towing Tank). It is capable of holding a vertical bar mounted at 3 different angles, allowing the team to collect data on drag in from currents in different directions. It was 3D printed and used in the tank as part of my project and another project involving drag on different fishing net patterns.
This is part of the work I did for MIT Sea Grant (project cut short due to COVID Pandemic).
